Entry requrirements

  • Citizens of MERCOSUR and associated countries (Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, Chile, Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela) need their ID or passport to enter Argentina.
    Please check Mercosur Travel Documents
  • Visitors from other countries must have a valid passport, with or without a visa, as appropriate.
  • Tourists can stay in the country for a maximum of 90 days.
  • No vaccination certificates are required to enter the country. Only tourists from countries where cholera and yellow fever are endemic should present proof of being vaccinated against those diseases.

It is recommended to contact the Argentine Embassy/Consulate in their country to get information about visa or other requirements to enter Argentina.

Delegates from countries for which a visa is required are advised to begin the visa application as soon as possible, at least 3 months before the travel (earlier in some cases).

Entry Reciprocity Fee

Citizens from the USA, Canada and Australia have to pay a reciprocity fee before entering Argentina. This fee may vary depending on your nationality and it has to be paid online with a credit card before arriving to Argentina.

To pay the fee you have to log in Provincia Pagos. Remember to print the receipt. Upon arrival to Argentina, this printed receipt must be presented to immigration officers.

Letter of Invitation

Participants, who need a letter of invitation for the purpose of obtaining a travel visa or permission to attend the conference, please complete the request form. We will email a PDF version of the letter of invitation.

  • A letter of invitation can only be issued after registration for the meeting.
  • Letters of Invitation do not represent a commitment to provide any financial support from the Congress.
  • We are not able to contact individual embassies/consulates in support of any individual trying to obtain a visa. Invitation letters are prepared solely for individuals and are mailed directly to them. It is your responsibility to ensure that the documentation presented to the consulate is correct and completed before you start your journey. We recommend to apply for the visa as early as possible.
